WAYS TO GIVE

There are many ways to contribute to Cancer Support Team.

Direct Support – you can make a donation by phone, check, and of course online.

Types of Donations:

Unrestricted Contributions  –  These allow CST to address the greatest needs. Gifts can also be directed to support specific services.

Sustaining Gifts – Commit to Cancer Support Team through regular and automatic recurring charges to your credit or debit card at the frequency of your choice. Simply select one of our “recurring options” when you donate online.

Gifts of Stock – Receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of your stock gift along with an exemption from capital gains tax on shares that you have owned for at least one year.

Donor-Advised Funds – Please note Cancer Support Team welcomes gifts from Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs).  If you have a DAF, please consider recommending to your financial advisor that they support CST.

Planned Gifts – A charitable bequest in your will helps to preserve vibrant, healthy communities for generations to come and creates a lasting legacy for Cancer Support Team. Additional planned giving options include:

Retirement Plans
Funds from retirement plans such as pension funds, 401ks, 403bs, and IRAs can be donated to Cancer Support Team without paying any income and estate taxes.

Charitable Bequest
By naming Cancer Support Team in your will or living trust, you will be helping us to continue our mission.

Life Insurance
If you own a life insurance policy that is no longer needed for the protection of your family or for other purposes, you may use it to make a gift to Cancer Support Team.

Financial Accounts
Talk to your bank or broker about how to gift funds from bank and brokerage accounts to Cancer Support Team.

Note: In 2020 the CARES Act added a tax benefit for individual donors who itemize their contributions.  You can now deduct up to 100% of your adjusted gross income (AGI) to qualified organizations such as Cancer Support Team. For those who do not itemize, the CARES Act now allows tax payers to take a deduction for up to $300 in charitable contributions.

Cancer Support Team is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, tax-exempt organization designated by the Internal Revenue Code. Every contribution made to the Cancer Support Team, will receive an acknowledgement letter for income tax purposes.
