As he came to trust Elish, Carter admitted he couldn’t read or write—and hadn’t understood how to take his meds. Elish got creative, designing a color-coded, picture-based medication chart that helped him manage his pain with dignity and ease. Her compassionate care transformed his treatment experience.

At just 38, Alexandria’s breast cancer diagnosis and a recent breakup left her emotionally shattered. Early menopause, bone pain, and neuropathy only added to the weight she carried. Enter Lillian Shinsato, CST’s licensed clinical social worker. Through the use of guided imagery, meditation, and trauma-informed therapy, Lillian helped Alexandria process her grief and reclaim peace. In Alexandria’s words: “You take the rocks out of my stomach, the elephant off my chest, and the boulders off my back.”
